We offer a complete design service – from a free initial consultation where we explore your vision and goals for the space, through the entire creative journey, right up to contractor tendering and project management.

This is a more accessible option where we offer simple but effective design ideas. Clients get hands-on, and we’re there to offer advice and hand-holding throughout, fostering a deep connection with the garden and making the process collaborative and empowering
PLANTING DESIGN
Planting design brings together shape, colour, and texture – drawing inspiration from the local environment to create beautiful, climate-resilient plantings that thrive in their setting. Our focus is on creating balanced + manageable gardens.
AFTER CARE + MAINTENANCE
We don’t believe that creating a garden design is the end of the journey. Gardens grow and change over many years, and we’re here to help continue it’s development. From simple tasks like weeding and pruning to adding seasonal displays and helping you grow your own flowers and vegetables.
Our Design Process
Together, we’ll shape your vision from the ground up. I’ll take care of everything- from planning and managing contractors to the final planting- while ensuring your ideas guide every step of the process.
CONSULTATION
The process begins with a consultation at your home, where we discuss your vision, share ideas, and walk through the garden to understand the space and its potential.
BRIEF AND FEE PROPOSAL
Next, I create a design brief that captures everything we talked about. We can exchange ideas and images to ensure your garden feels personal and true to your vision. I’ll also include a fee proposal, customised to suit your needs.
SITE SURVEY
The next step is a visit to carry out a survey, which gives me everything I need to create an accurate, to-scale design of your garden. I’ll take measurements, check the levels, collect soil samples, snap some photos, and jot down notes about the space. From there, I’ll create a detailed CAD drawing. For larger or more complex gardens, I may bring in a landscape surveyor—or, if you already have a topographical survey, we can use that instead.
CONCEPT DESIGN, VISUALS + IMAGES
Next, I create a scaled concept design of your garden, along with a concept board and 3D visuals to help you really picture how the space will come together. We’ll then meet to walk through the proposed design, chat about any changes you’d like to make, and take a look at some material samples to start bringing the ideas to life.
MASTERPLAN
Then it’s time to finalise the Masterplan. This is the full, scaled layout of your garden, including all the main details and features needed for the build.
CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
The drawings provide landscapers with a clear, detailed guide to building your garden, featuring exact material layouts, the full scope of work, dimensions, and any construction drawings needed.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
To ensure your garden is brought to life exactly as planned, I recommend managing the project through to completion. I handle the tender process by connecting you with reliable, experienced landscapers who work confidently from design plans. Throughout the build, I visit the site regularly to monitor progress and quickly resolve any onsite challenges.
PLANTING DESIGN
I offer a comprehensive planting design service, including Planting Plans and plant lists, along with sourcing and ordering all plants and trees from high-quality nurseries – where possible we source bare root perennials, trees and use seeds, to minimise plastic use.
My Planting Plans detail the name and location of each plant, using my expertise to guide the layout. We then place and plant out – this can be collaborative and a great chance to connect to place or something we can manage.
